Course: Modern WordPress Theme Development with WP Rig V3

(Updated December 2025.) WP Rig, a modern toolkit, makes building professional and progressive themes for WordPress easy. It ships with a fully styled starter theme that can be easily customized, and it lints, optimizes, and minifies your changes as you code. This framework makes your themes as fast, accessible and performant as possible. In this course, instructor Rob Ruiz shows how to install and configure WP Rig and build a new progressive theme right out of the box. Plus, learn how to edit the underlying CSS, PHP, and JavaScript code and add advanced features such as block editor support, custom theme settings along with custom menus, backgrounds, and logos.

As of v3 of WP Rig, all new video content can be found on our YouTube channel. A lot of content from our previous version still applies as this is a progressive framework. However, please explore our modern content first and then deep dive using older content.
